CNC Swiss Operator

Responsibilities and duties of a CNC Swiss Operator include:

  • Effectively uses shop packages to include, but not limited to manufacturing orders, bill of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts
  • Ensures that gases and tools that are used are within calibration dates
  • Sets up and operates multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing
  • Sorts and reworks non-conforming parts as required
  • Performs work according to released material methods 100% of the time
  • Follows safe working practices and notifies any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed
  • Achieves efficiency targets
  • Produces product to established quality standards and notifies direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found
  • Performs quality checks per WEOP0855 and associated Inspection Record (QF08120)
  • Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees
  • Operates with sense of urgency when required
  • Requests raw material in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures
  • Understands and follows employee handbook
  • Understands and knows where the Material Safety Data Sheets are located
  • Fills out daily labor cards correctly, completely, and on time
  • Is present and punctual according to work schedules (starting time, quitting, rest & clean up periods)
  • Able to develop multiple skills for multiple cells as needed
  • Maintains all surrounding areas for cleanliness, orderliness, and organization per established 5S practices
  • Discusses all questions and concerns with direct supervisors in a timely manner
  • Performs and documents preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the time


  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC Swiss machines
  • Basic computer knowledge desired
  • Ability to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and blue prints
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, and other inspection devices as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 to $17.00 /hour
