IT Support

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports Western’s computers & peripherals at three Cleveland area locations.
  • Performs daily Computer Operator functions.
  • Installation of computer hardware and software.
  • Participate on new and existing IT projects.
  • Ability to connect cable ends to network cables.
  • Maintain video security system to insure proper operation.
  • Write or revise user training manuals and IT procedures.
  • Develop training materials and train users on software and hardware.
  • Maintain audit logs.
  • Monitors for error messages and enters commands using a keyboard to correct error and resume operations.
  • Support of the XA ERP system users.
  • Works with multiple hardware and software platforms.
  • Resolves network and PC problems and offer technical assistance to users.


  • Knowledge of networking and Microsoft software required
  • Must me mechanically inclined and know how to use basic hand tools and electronic testing equipment
  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend technical materials
  • Requires an ability to comprehend problems and logically study them to develop solutions as well as to develop procedures and practices that preclude recurrence.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Should have skills necessary to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must also be able to expertly understand Microsoft instructions and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products associated with microcomputers
  • Associates degree required
