Quality Inspector

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Perform assigned training and maintain training compliance
  • To perform inspections of components and products
  • To develop inspection reports
  • Perform in process and final inspection of machined parts
  • Perform final product inspection and release
  • Perform incoming material inspection and approval
  • Create and maintain records of inspections, approvals, and releases
  • Recognize non-conforming materials, record observations, and alert Quality Management
  • To support verification, validation, and investigational activities
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  •     High School education and 1 to 2 years of experience in quality – preferably focused on inspection within a machine shop environment
  •     Experience in an FDA regulated environment or with a certified Quality Management System, such as ISO9001 or ISO13485, is preferred
  •  Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, tolerance, and basic metrology
  • Utilize conventional inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Skills preferred but not required:  ability to use optical comparator and/or other vision based measuring systems, profilometer, CMM equipment
