For more than 60 years, Western has been supplying products for the control, storage, and transmission of high-pressure gases to the industrial, medical, and specialty gas markets–and leading the field in the ways that matter most. Western is dedicated to being the best provider of compressed gas systems and components.

Western, a division of the Scott Fetzer Company, is an experienced and innovative American manufacturer of products for the compressed gas industry.  From your basic hose fittings to flash arrestors, regulators, and complex manifold systems, Western products are proudly manufactured in Westlake, Ohio by American craftsmen and women.  Western-made products are distributed internationally to a diverse range of industries in the welding, medical, and specialty gas marketplaces.

Industrial processors and fabricators have made Western a leading source of high-quality compressed gas products used for the control, storage, and transmission of high-pressure gases. Worldwide distribution, coupled with a continuous flow of innovative new products, supports Western’s reputation as a veteran and pacesetting supplier.

Western Enterprises was founded in 1952 and quickly became known as the premier manufacturer of brass welding fittings.  By the mid ’70s, Western had experienced tremendous growth and had expanded its product line to include plated medical fitting for the healthcare industry. At that same time, we expanded our Industrial product line offering to include manifolds and other gas distribution equipment.

In the late 1970s and the early 1980s, Western introduced a complete line of industrial and medical regulators and flowmeters.  By 1990, Western Enterprises had introduced a new line of Specialty Gas and High Purity gas regulators along with a line of Helium products.

As regulator innovation and product development continued to move forward at Western, we successfully launched our first Valve Integrated Pressure Regulator (VIPR) into the medical industry as a portable Oxygen system, consisting of the regulator and cylinder integrated into one portable unit. Since that time, Western has continued to further develop VIPR technology and has integrated that technology into several other products for other industries such as the heating and air conditioning market.

Western is committed to harnessing the power of gas through technologies that provide sustainable solutions to our customers. Western works to provide these solutions and fulfill global demand by anticipating market needs, engineering quality products, and fully supporting our customers around the world, with products proudly made in the USA.
